Calais Port 2015 means land reclaimed from the sea,
a 3.2 kilometers breakwater, 3 new ferry berths, new buildings…
but also the increase in capacity of the port ring road
to make incoming and outgoing traffic easy.
The Port of Calais entrance and exit will have 4 lanes each when the construction work will be over. This capacity will ensure the fluidity of access to and from the various sites of the port but also of the city.
There will be with these works:
- the renewal of street lighting with LED technology,
- a new signage system
- and the rehabilitation of existing roads.
A new phase of operations less important than the first one, is scheduled for spring 2020 to complete this new road structure.
